The
Significance of Information on Risk Management
Information
is the base for running risk management system. In accordance with the
definition made by COSO, pertinent information must be identified,
captured and communicated to assure the form and opportunity of
people’s responsibility. There are many kinds of information
sources---internal and external, which appear in the forms of
quantitative and qualitative to respond to changing conditions.
Management need to process and refine a large number of data to output
information that supports their decisions, in which a basic structure of
information system can be established for tracing, obtaining, processing
and reporting related information. Information system provides risk
management and object-related decisions with information through
produced data from internal and information from external channels.
Information
system could be formal or informal. With more and more enterprises
adopting formal information system, structured on the basis of IT
technology to run via computer’s software and hardware and network,
demand for controlling information system emerges correspondingly.
Formal
information system is a system structured on the basis of IT technology
to run via computer’s software and hardware and network. Technologies
using in computer and network would improve the efficiency of
information management. But at the same time, they bring new challenges
to companies on managing information due to the limitations in their
features and technologies especially in the way of collecting electronic
information and transmission, which adds difficulty to information
security. Consequently, demand for controlling information system
emerges correspondingly.
As
a whole, information system control contains two forms:
1,
General control, which includes information technology management and
basic structure, security management and software acquisition,
development and maintenance, can apply to many non-application system
and help them run continuously and appropriately.
2, Application control, which directly focuses on integrity, accuracy, authorization and validity of data acquisition and process, is able to help obtain produced data when requiring.

When the game began, he shot himself toward his first goal at a 100-metre-rush speed. After arriving at the first marked building, he rushed to my second goal at the same speed. He finished the entire journey, divided into some small goals by me, without any difficult. At first, because he didn’t know this principle, he set his goal at the location of the flag standing at the finish line designed more than 40 miles away, but he was exhausted after running just more than a dozen or so miles and scared by finishing the following journey.
