The 36th Annual Meeting of ABI was held at the Thorpe Park Hotel in Leeds , UK on April 22, 2006.

The first foreign insurance company entered Xiamen City , also known as Aigrette Island . On April 12, AVIVA-COFCO Life Insurance Co., Ltd., which has more than 300 years history in insurance business entered Xiamen City with the approval of China Insurance Regulatory Commission, and Aigrette Island welcomed the first foreign life insurance company. It is reported that AVIVA-COFCO Life Insurance Co., Ltd. was found by Aviva and China National Cereals, Oils and Foodstuffs Corp., both of which were listed in Global 500 companies. Xiamen Daily reported.

Premier Wen Jiabao recently signed No. 462 Decree of State Council, which promulgated the Regulations for Compulsory Automobile Accident Liability Insurance.

Xiong Xuanguo, the Vice-President of the Supreme People's Court, introduced that the Supreme People's Court and Supreme People’s Procuratorate would enhance the judicial interpretation of judicial protection for intellectual property by criminal laws, and adequately apply of property-oriented penalty, in other words, to give fine to those who violate law of intellectual property and further intensify the property punishment.

China Product Quality Association and China National Institute of Standardization promulgated <Regulations on Evaluation of Enterprise’s Credit for Quality> several days ago.

Team Atmosphere Influences the Worker's Enthusiasm

 

A wonderful working atmosphere is vital to increase working efficiency, and the atmosphere consisting of enjoyment and respect exerts great influence on improving the worker's work enthusiasm. If they work in the tedious and repressive working environment everyday, how can the staff like to throw themselves into work actively? If they can get good command of the skill of creating a nicer working atmosphere and apply it to his/her work, managers will be capable of identifying the doings of lacking efficiency and reducing efficiency and also can take actions to settle the questions, consequently win working achievements of originality in a high-efficient and easiest way. This article will give some advice on creating nicer team-working atmosphere.

What will be regarded as wonderful working atmosphere, which can encourage the staff to work actively?

The wonderful working atmosphere contains freedom, sincerity and equality. With the satisfaction of their work, the staff will get along well with colleagues and seniors, and also appreciate each other. Therefore, the staff would have a sense of identity and fulfill the task together and meantime realize their self-worth through wonderful teamwork. Under such circumstance, with other’s appreciation each personnel will devote themselves to the work heart and soul, and also will be in a position to momentarily adjust work neatly and expediently to enhance the working efficiency.

Well then, how to create a nicer and delightful working atmosphere?

All though the working atmosphere is something invisible and intangible, we are sure that working atmosphere is growing up gradually along with the staff’s ceaseless communications and mutual cooperation. So without the intercourse of people, working atmosphere will not exist. At this aspect, the management system only has limited function and may only function as a basic safeguard. Furthermore, the internal management system of domestic corporations is not perfect at present, and the current system also has not been well executed due to many causes. As a result, it needs to exert adequately humans’ ability, because people are the most important factor in the circumstance and can create excellent working atmosphere.

In China , there have already been many world-shaking changes in people’s ideas, but the influence of traditional culture cannot be ignored. It unconsciously influenced the managers and staff of corporations, and can be reflected in the corporate cultures of most enterprises. It can be attested by such phenomenon that most private enterprises in China adopt the mode of family management, and the patriarchy also prevails in state-owed enterprises. In such social cultures, the leaders are always in the outstanding positions as well as being the whole shows at work, and it is obvious that working atmosphere is influenced by individual’s leading style to great extent. So it is admitted that the creation of a wonderful working atmosphere depends on the managing style of leaders. The suggestions referred hereinafter will not work effectively unless the leaders can practice what they preach.

Firstly, clearly defining jobs of different departments and positions. Whether the cooperation between departments is going smoothly is an important evaluation symbol of working atmosphere and well cooperation lies on definitely dividing the work. The clear duties and power of different departments do not mean that they are disconnected. Employees should work actively and division of work only stipulates the duty of every employees. That will prevent employees from playing the blame game or passing buck. 

Secondly, improving the enthusiasm of employees by establishing a healthy corporate culture. To create a work atmosphere of consisting of mutual assist, mutual understanding, spiriting up each other and concerning each other, which can stabilize working emotion and inspire working passion of workers. By doing so, the staff can form a common value judgment on work and compose a powerful group to achieve the goals of enterprises.

Thirdly, the sincere and equal internal communication is the basis of creating harmonious working atmosphere. The bureaucracy should be eliminated from companies. The different positions only indicate the division of jobs and duties of employees. Therefore, the mutual trust, assist and respect between employees of different positions and longevity should be encouraged. And each personnel should be entitled to express his/her originality and advice, and also can actively communicate with others as well as air his/her view to other people. They also should give positive responses to others. The principle is that the communication must be related to work and considering something as it stands without involving any other irrelevant things.

Last but not least, to attach importance to build teams in departments, strive to found the studying-style organization and to create a comfortable working atmosphere. There should be nicer studying ethos in enterprises, and the leaders should encourage and guide the team members to intensify learning advanced technology and experience. Working summing-up ought to be combined with extensive and corresponding intercourse within the staff to share useful experience in order to improve work.
