At the beginning of December, the President of Steele was invited by China Life Insurance Company Ltd. to attend its Insurance Claims Investigation Training Seminar hold in Fuzhou . On December 3, the President gave a lecture about Steel’s methods and practice in that field and exchanged ideas with the students, according to whom the effect of the lecture was satisfied.

By estimation, Ms. Li Ma and Mr. Zhiwei Chen were chosen to be the gainers of ‘Steele Stipend’ in December. The President of Steele specially wrote to the two students to encourage their spirit of self - reliance and hard struggle.

On December 15, a dozen of the students of the International Law Students’ Association Peking University visited Steele and China United Intellectual Property Protection Center . It is the first time that the domestic court directly broadcasts the trial to the public on the Internet.

China Export and Credit Insurance Corporation entered into an agreement with Dubai International Assets Corporation recently for their cooperation in investment in order to promote the investment of Chinese enterprises in the Middle East and other areas.

According to the forecast of Swiss Reinsurance Company, the prospect of Asian insurance market will be bright in 2005 based on the increase of the demands for insurance of the individuals and the commercial entities that benefits from the continuous development of the economy. The forecast indicates that in Asia except Japan , the life insurance charge is expected to increase up to 8.4% while other types of insurance will increase 5.9% in 2005.

On December 7, China National Aviation Holding Company and Korean Samsung Life Insurance Corporation both announced that they cooperated in investing in China Aviation and Samsung Life Insurance Co., Ltd. respectively by 50% share and the new company had been approved by China Insurance Regulatory Commission. The new company is planned to be opened in the first half year of 2005, which symbolizes the Korean insurance industry starts its entry into China insurance market.
