Steele held some seminars with many state-owned corporations recently, the main subject of which was how to establish a “Managing and Moral Risks Prevention System” based on the characteristics of an enterprise. On those seminars, the common consensus was made in such fields as the management of the creditor’s rights, the controlling of human resource risks, the management and transaction of crisis, and so on. Consequently, based on the enterprises’ demands, the products of Steele are designed and develop more and more effective and helpful to the corporations.

On July 7 2004 in Beijing , the President of Steele met Mr. Jeremy Gordon, the Chief Executive of British China Business Service Corporation, and discussed the cooperation friendly.

From June to July, 2004, ACFE (the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners) held a series of investigation training seminars, including how to develop the domestic investigation, internet frauds audit, frauds prevention, professional interview skills, and so on.

The 15th Annual Conference of ACFE was held from July 11 to 16, 2004 in Las Vegas , USA .

The 37th Annual Conference of CALI (the California Association of Licensed Investigators) was held successfully from June 24 to 26, 2004 in Newport Beach , California , USA .

<Regulations on Administration of Business Scope Registration of the Enterprises>, <Regulations on Administration of Registered Capital Registration of the Enterprises>, <Methods for the Implementation of Administration of Name Registration of the Enterprises>, and <Regulations on Registration Procedure of Enterprises> had been put in force since July 1, 2004.

A public consultation meeting was held in Guangzhou for the <Statute for the Disclosure of Enterprises Credit Information in Guangdong Province (Draft)>, which is the first municipal statute for the disclosure of the enterprises credit information in China . At the same time an inquiry was also publicized on the network for collecting the suggestions from the public. The Statue will be submitted to Guangdong Municipal Government at the end of July after modification and will be implemented after being deliberated by the Provincial Congress.

The polygraph technique can assist the business investigation in providing important inquiry clues or directions, and accordingly the whole process of the investigation will be more rigorous and the results will be more accurate.

An individual’s working ability cannot present his comprehensive competence. The polygraph examination can provide an aspirant an objective examination report, which shows the completed individual competence.

Investigation on assets —— There are two meanings of such an expression. One is property investigation, the narrow sense of investigation on assets. Such investigation is always conducted in business credit investigation cases, the aim of which is to obtain information on a certain subject’s assets and economic strength. Property investigation is a kind of comprehensive investigation into all components of a subject’s assets. The other meaning of investigation on assets is assets tracing for special intention.

Assets tracing —— It can be divided into two parts by different intentions and the contents: “assets searches and verification”, and “searching hidden assets before and after lawsuits”. The former one aims at a certain property and its situation and whereabouts for non-litigation purpose. The latter one aims at a certain subject’s assets, which can be executed for the purpose of security before lawsuit or execution after lawsuit. Generally, compared with property investigation, there are always more specific purpose and content of assets tracing. From this point of view, assets tracing is actually the special cases or extension of the investigation on assets.
